Payment and securing your booking -
Cookies, Cupcakes and Cakes:
When ordering a set of personalised/custom sugar cookies, a 50% deposit is required. Full payment is required 2 weeks prior to your event date. If your booking is made within 2 weeks of your event date, full payment is required.
Grazing boxes & hamper baskets:
All grazing boxes/hampers require a minimum of 72 hours notice for ordering purposes. Full payment must be made when order is requested, with 50% being non-refundable.
Grazing tables:
To proceed with your Salty Basket Co. grazing table booking, a 50% deposit is required. Full payment is required 3 weeks prior to your event date. If your booking is made within 3 weeks of your event date, full payment is required.
Payment due dates are outlined on your invoice.
Your booking is not officially secured until a deposit has been received.
Cancellation and Refund Policy -
Cookies, Cupcakes and Cakes:
To proceed with your order, a 50% deposit is required. Full payment is required 2 weeks prior to your event date. If your booking is made within 2 weeks of your event date, full payment is required. Once your booking is confirmed, your date and time are locked in and we decline any other inquiry that may clash with your event, to focus solely on you.
Full payment for your order is to be made two weeks (2) weeks before delivery or collection of the cake/cookies. Items will not be released unless full payment has been received.
Salty Basket Co is unable to accept cancellations of orders placed within two weeks (2) of your event regardless of reason. In some, but not all cases, it may be possible for us to offer a credit for a future purchase to use within 12 months on a mutually agreed date. The amount of credit will depend on how much work has already been done on your order and excludes the non-refundable deposit.
Grazing tables:
Once your booking is confirmed, your date and time are locked in and we decline any other inquiry that may clash with your event, to focus solely on you.
In the unlikely circumstance that you need to cancel your booking, our cancellation policy is as follows:
Grazing boxes and hamper baskets:
We understand that sometimes circumstances can change, but as we order our produce fresh and allocate time towards your order, we ask that if you no longer require our services, or need to cancel your order, you provide us with a minimum of 72 hours notice. You will incur the full charge of your cancelled order, if you are to cancel your order less than 72 hours before the service.
Should you cancel with more than 72 hours notice you will be refunded the full amount, minus the non refundable 50% deposit.
If your Grazing box/catering box order exceeds $600.00 and you wish to cancel or significantly decrease your order, we request that you provide us with a minimum of 2 weeks' notice otherwise you will incur the full charge of your original order.
Square Refund Policy -
Once a refund is initiated, The Square full refund time frame typically takes 2-7 business days. Once the refund is processed and sent to your card issuing bank, it can take another 2-7 business days (depending on the bank's processing speeds) for the refund to post to your account.
Payments processed on Square Online are only eligible to refund within 1 year.
Loss of Goods -
If our tableware (boards, bowls, pots, vases, props for styling, cheese knives), crockery, cutlery, napery, glassware or tables are misplaced or damaged during your event, fees will apply for replacement at the full cost of purchasing a replacement.
Fresh flowers may be included in your package, you are welcome to keep, however dried floral arrangements and vases must be returned to us in same working order.
The collection of goods will be pre-arranged before your event date.
Liability -
Upon delivery/pick up or serving time, customers accept responsibility to maintain food safety practices and thus, Salty Basket Co. cannot accept any responsibility for the produce beyond this point.
A Quick Note -
Salty Basket Co. reserves the right to substitute products and items when products or ingredients may not be available. All substitutes are of similar quality and value.
Pricing: Pricing is always subject to change. Each quote is only applicable to the enquiry.
Allergies: Grazing tables are not suitable for those who are allergic to nuts and are coeliac. Grazing tables are suitable for those who follow gluten free / dairy free / vegan / halal diets when notice is given, additional fees may apply for substitute products.
Weather: We do not provide refunds or offer date reschedules in case of bad weather on the date of your grazing table booking. In the event of rain, it is your responsibility to make an alternate arrangement. We strongly encourage having a wet weather plan in place.
Fly prevention: If your event is being held outdoors or in the warmer months of the year, we strongly recommend purchasing a fly trap and locating it in close proximity of the grazing table, click here to see the product we recommend. Fly traps should be set up a few hours before Salty Basket Co arrives to ensure the product is fully effective prior to set up. Indoor events are always preferable for fly management.
It is your responsibility to provide fly nets should you wish to cover the food throughout your event.
Dealing with the heat: It is very important that your grazing table is located in a shady, cool location for the duration of the set up and event. Indoors with air-con is always preferable, particularly during the warmer months of the year.
Safety & Hygiene: It is the client’s responsibility to ensure children and guests are kept away when we are setting up. We cannot take any responsibility for any damage to property or persons caused by non-compliance. Pets and other animals must be prevented from entering any area where food is being prepared or served to meet food hygiene and safety requirements. Our produce is prepared to the highest quality standards and is always prepared with impeccable food safety practices. Any consumption of platters, picnic boxes or grazing tables after a 2.5 hour set up period is done at your own risk.
Parking: Suitable parking must be provided for the duration of the grazing table set up. Please advise whether this is not possible (paid parking only available) during the planning and confirmation of your graze.
